Medical Visitor
Evidence that the hospital or clinic has agreed to treat you
This could include :
- Appointment letter from the hospital detailing the cost and duration of treatment
letter from your consultant
- Evidence to show how the treatment is being paid for
- This could include a variety of any of the financial documents outlined above in the finances section
Requirements for leave to enter as a visitor for private medical treatment
- in the case of a person suffering from a communicable disease, has satisfied the Medical Inspector that there is no danger to public health; and
- can produce satisfactory evidence, if required to do so, of:
- satisfactory arrangements for the necessary consultation or treatment at his own expense; and
- the estimated costs of such consultation or treatment; and
- the likely duration of his visit; and
- sufficient funds available to meet the estimated costs
